Support humane use of dog collars & leashes
Our philosophy about dogs extends to the types of collars and leashes we recommend. We strongly advise against devices that control dogs through pain or discomfort: from shock collars and choke chains to harnesses, head halters, and retractable leashes. We recommend a wide (1”-2”), stiff collar because they gently disperse the energy around a dog’s neck. All collars should be removed when they aren’t in use to avoid potential dangers and problems. Wide collars should never be left on as they can hold moisture under the collar and affect the coat/skin.
We highly recommend a double thick 6’ nylon leash as it is more comfortable in your hands and communicates more effectively to your dog.
